Seasonal Food

Basing your grocery shopping around the fruits, veggies, meats and seafood that are seasonal to your area will have so many beneficial outcomes.

Prices are lower on foods that in season, as there is a plentiful supply. Nutrition and flavour are both at their peak in the height of a foods seasonality, and you'll also be harnessing the power of locally grown foods with little to no air miles. If you have the time and inclination to preserve produce, this is the time to stock up and freeze, can and dehydrate your seasonal bounty.
