A lifelong love of snapping pics culminated in me taking myself back to school in my late 30’s to finally understand the technical side of photography. Combined with my work as a food blogger this skill is constantly pushing me to see more in the mundane and play with my food on a daily basis. I am often to be found with the camera in one hand and a serving spoon in the other.
“Food and faces, those are my real passions when behind the camera.”
My obsession with real food stems from growing up on a small farm in Cornwall where our vegetables were covered in dirt and we knew our Sunday roast by name. It saddens me that our society as a whole has lost that connection with their food and buys products covered with barcodes rather than dirt.

For the longest time I hated having my photo taken so I totally understand when someone fears it or thinks of themselves as unphotogenic. Because I understand it, I believe I can make someone relax in front of the lens just long enough to capture an image that they love.
You can see some of my portrait work here.
I also enjoy shooting outdoor events and festivals, and being a people person makes it easy for me to connect with crowds and get those crowds smiling!
Take a peep here at some other events I’ve recently covered.
